Evelyn and Alfredo: Summer in New York City – destination portrait session

|mist| was in New York City for an engagement portrait shoot for a pair of New Yorkers this past weekend, and the pressure was on. He is a creative director (and long time professional artist) at an international interactive agency and she works in the luxury beauty market – so seeing and working with world-class images is a part of their daily lives. Given all the places to shoot in New York, the two selected this great location where we could see two of Manhattan’s bridges, along with the city’s skyline and we loved how this presented a different view of the city. A few of our favorites from the shoot…
While walking to the park, we loved the way the shadows looked on this image
While the water taxi was docking, we caught this one with “New York” just showing on the left side. Just loved the way the blues and yellows worked on this one.
With the Brooklyn Bridge in the background, we went for a little bit more drama

UPDATED 7/23: Ok, just a few more previews from this awesome New York shoot. While walking away from the Brooklyn bridge, we saw the setting sun peeking through and we stopped for a little bit and got this…
We played around a little more with the sunset, and wanted to do a silhoutte-like shot…we loved how this turned out!
…and what NY shoot wouldn’t be complete without something by the subway station. We loved this very candid shot of the two of them as the train passes by!
And finally, one of our absolute favorites is this landscape image of the couple by the Manhattan Bridge!
