Maya and Peter

Happy 2010 everyone! It’s been a while since mist Photography posted and what better way than to feature an amazing wedding to welcome the new year?  We travelled to the Philippines and co-shot a portion of Maya and Peter’s wedding with fantastic photographer and friend Pat Dy.  Check out his website when you get the chance, he does awesome work!  This couple is very dear to our hearts, and we hope the images reflect that. A few of our favorites:

Another beautiful shot right outside the Church. Maya’s dress was custom made by fantastic designer Gretchen Pichay.

Reception was held at Blue Leaf, a modern tropical events pavilion located at Fort Bonifacio, Makati City.

You can see the lovely couple and a friend in the background having fun in their photobooth!

Maya and Peter know how to throw a party!  Drinks are given creative names for guests to enjoy

Hydrangeas, roses, orchids – the flowers were simply gorgeous!!

And one of the most touching moments of the evening, Peter surprising Maya with a song as they perform their first dance. The song? REO Speedwagon’s “Can’t Fight This Feeling.”

Maya and Pete – thank you for having us at your beautiful wedding! You guys are an amazing couple blessed to have found each other.

Diana and Chris: Autumn at the Arboretum

mist Photography recently had the pleasure of shooting Diana and Chris’ engagement at the Dallas Arboretum. With the cool air and leaves turning, the atmosphere was just perfect for this beautiful couple.  Here are a few of our favorites from the day.

Bree and Tim: Fall Engagement at the Japanese Gardens

When |mist| met with Bree and Tim, they had already figured out where they wanted to do their engagement portrait session – the Japanese Gardens during Fall.  With Mother Nature being a bit unpredictable, we even decided to move up their session by a week since we were trying to capture the beautiful autumn foliage.  We had a lot of fun with them during the shoot – doing our best to avoid Tim’s “Chandler” smile…Here’s a few of our favorites from this past weekend:

Sheena and Raoul Part 3: Some Formal Portraits

mist Photography is still working on getting some additional photos up from their wedding day but we thought we would share some previews from their formal portrait sessions.

Sheena and Raoul: Part 2 – The Sangeet

As promised,  mist Photography presents the 2nd day of Sheena and Raoul’s coverage – the Sangeet at the top floor of the Westin Park Central.  We couldn’t believe the energy in the air and here are some of our favorite images from the evening:

As soon as one enters the lobby, it was clear what special event was going on!

…and before the evening was over, we had this classic shot of Sheena and Raoul – with a little bit of |mist| magic applied…

We also had a few moments to take some great images of Sheena in her beautiful dress

Before the party really got started – Sheena and some of her friends strike the “Sheena pose”…

Their friend Duke was the speaker of the evening…

And two lovely friends of the bride presented a choreographed dance number as the whole room watched

Sheena and Raoul: Mehndi Night in Plano

mist Photography was at Sheena’s Mehndi celebration at her parents’ home in Plano, and this is the first of 3 straight days of celebration for the wedding.   Here are a few previews from the evening:

The lights lent a very festive and magical atmosphere to their house
