Sasha and Aaron: A Beautiful Wedding at The Tribute

•June 24, 2009 • 4 Comments

Wonderful couple and great ambiance make for a memorable wedding! |mist| was at The Tribute Golf Club last June 13th for Sasha and Aaron’s wedding and we simply enjoyed ourselves covering this big day.  The biggest factor that made this wedding a success was the happy and relaxed personality of the couple, and we believe the photos show that. Here are some of our favorites from the wedding:

Aaron jokingly attempts to make a run from the ceremony while his groomsmen pull him back

The adorable ring bearer and flower girl

Sasha’s look of excitement as she walks down the aisle with her dad

The Tribute Golf Club was the perfect backdrop for the ceremony

Sasha was so emotional during the whole ceremony, you can see tears streaming down her face as she said her vows to Aaron

A moment of laughter!

And of course the kiss!

A classic shot of the newlyweds

The very happy couple ready to start the reception!

But first, a shot of the wedding party! The Tribute really had great locations to shoot at

The First Dance. The lanterns added to the great ambiance of the ballroom

The ballroom beautifully transformed

We got this candid shot of the flower girl next to the cake that just looked amazing…

The weddings bands and ring against Sasha and Aaron’s wedding invitation

Sasha and Aaron share a light moment while cutting their cake

Aaron ready to throw the garter!

Everybody loved to party in this wedding! This junior bridesmaid in particular was an amazing dancer!

The DJ called everyone to the dance floor, and he was serious! Fun shot of the crowd

We didn’t want the party to end, but we especially loved this leaving shot. The bubbles were captured beautifully

Our absolute favorite – Sasha and Aaron simply perfected the dip!

Thanks you guys for the wonderful wedding! We truly had a blast! To everyone, please feel free to leave a comment or two!

Sasha’s Bridals

•June 15, 2009 • 3 Comments

|mist| shot Sasha and Aaron’s wedding last Saturday at The Tribute Golf Club and despite the heat, we had such a fun time! Karen Radford of Weddings of Elegance transformed the ballroom into a stunning feast for the senses. Now that the wedding festivities have passed and the happy couple are off enjoying their honeymoon, we can share Sasha’s beautiful bridals! Here are several of our favorites from the shoot:

Sasha’s dress was gorgeous, courtesy of our friends from Stardust Celebrations

We loved the exterior of The Tribute

Sasha having fun with the golf cart!

And our absolute favorite…this ended up as a large print at their wedding:

We’ll be posting photos soon from Sasha and Aaron’s wedding. Stay tuned!

|mist| met Sheena and Raoul through good fortune – they were recommended to us by past and future clients! They are good friends of Rita and Michael and also got to know Alka and Ryan recently at a bridal show.  Our engagement session last Friday evening was one of the most fun we’ve had. We’re very excited to shoot their October wedding at The Four Seasons! In the meantime, here are some of our favorites from the shoot:

We started the evening at Raoul’s home. We felt like we were in some exotic locale with the gorgeous palm trees and Mediterranean accents!

Sheena and Raoul are definitely a fun loving couple and we love this shot of the both of them just having a good time

Classic shot

We just loved the architecture of this location

We then headed over to The Shops At Legacy and spotted this sign. We knew we had to make a short stop here!

The fountain was lit up and served as a beautiful backdrop

Raoul is a fantastic sax player and dancing to the band’s music at Coast restaurant was essential!

We absolutely loved the decor of Coast, and we couldn’t resist taking a shot against this beautiful red accent wall

Sheena and Raoul, thank you for the great shoot and we look forward to your wedding!

Alka and Ryan approached |mist| to cover their wedding this coming July and we immediately jumped at the chance. They are such an interesting couple who lead extremely busy lives, and we knew their big day was going to be no less than perfect. The Dallas Arboretum was the setting of our engagement session and we just loved how the photos turned out. Here are some of our favorites:

This tree-lined path was simply calling for a dip…

We just loved Alka and Ryan’s outfits! A walk among the gardens…

A twirl amidst the fountain!

Sharing a private moment…

And a laugh or two!

It started to drizzle, and our umbrella came in handy! Made for a great prop too!

A scene from a wedding perhaps?

Of course we needed to end this with glamour..

Alka and Ryan, we’re excited to be a part of your 4th of July weekend wedding!

May and John: A |mist| Maternity Portrait Session

•May 16, 2009 • Leave a Comment

|mist| has always, and will continue to remain focused on wedding and wedding-related portraiture, but when one of our earliest clients and friends asked us about capturing this unique time in their lives, we were flattered and decided to go a little beyond our comfort zone and do a |mist| maternity session!    May and John were absolutely wonderful to work with (even as John did this shoot about an hour after getting back from his hectic business travel) and we hope you enjoy the results!

Capturing a little sunset

They always referred to Rocky as their ‘kid’ but Jolee’s room is ready for her when she arrives in a few months!

We just loved this shot of May looking out the window…

And finally, a little creative image (and John’s heart-shaped hand position was completely their idea!).  The texture was also taken from their house since they were still doing some construction on the floor leading up to Jolee’s room.

Congratulations and we can’t wait to see the new addition to your family!
